Bishops Castle

Bishops Castle is a wonderful compact town in South Shropshire.  It boasts six pubs (two of which are breweries as well as a church, primary and secondary schools, and a number of shops and cafes and other businesses.  It is much loved by visitors who want to experience the unspoilt countryside and the local beer.  It is the home of Shropshire Bedlams and Martha Rhoden's Tuppenny Dish morris dancers.  There are no motorways or traffic lights and the tractor parked outside pub is more likely to be a “Fergie” than a “Chelsea”.  As well as the annual real ale festival the town also hosts a number of events which include the Walking Festival, Carnival, Tandom Triathlon, Michaelmas Fair and Christmas Lights Festival.
